The National Points system has been developed over a period of 30 months. The purpose is the rank all registered RMax Challenge drivers in the US. Each driver earns points for the finishes in his local series based on the national points system. The series directors submit race reports and we verify the points assigned and then post them to the standings.
The goal of this page is to answer the most asked questions. If you do not find the answer you are looking for or are still unclear after reviewing this page contact me;

Question: I see cells that have a gray or yellow background.
Answer: Cells in gray are not counted in the total points. The points total is based on the best 6 races. Cells in yellow are race points that can not be dropped. These represent disqualifications.

Question: I race in a series with 15 people in my class, how can I compete against someone who is in a series class with 5 or 6?
Answer: The point system is weighted towards larger series. The more registered members in a class the higher the multiplier. The more registered members racing the more bonus points each racer gets.
Question:
How many racers count towards the points?
Answer: For 2009 we are counting the best 6 races for each competitor.
Question:
My series only has 4 races scheduled this season, is there a way I can get
another race counted?
Answer: I suggest you talk to your series officials to see if they can add another race to the season.
Question: Why don't I see my
series in any of these reports?
Question:
Why am I not listed in the class rankings?
Answer: Your local Series Director is responsible for sending the reports in, you need to check with your series officials to see why your results have not been reported.
Question: I came in third
and you have me down as fifth
Answer: We rely on the reports submitted from local Regional Directors, please check with him.
Question: If I race at another series race do I
get any credit?
Answer:
You are counted towards bonus points for the racers in the series your are a
visitor at but at the current time you cannot earn points in your home
series. This is one of the tweaks we are trying to determine a way to
work into the system.
Answer: For 2009 we are
trying something new. If you compete in 2 series you can collect
points for both series individually. We will list your results and
points for both series separately. At the end of the season we will
remove the lowest points total of 2 or 3 series you are competing in.
Question: How often are the points standings updated?
Answer: Every 3-4 weeks the points standings are updated. When we have a date scheduled for the next update we will post it on the home page.
Question: I have points showing but there is no total.
Answer: There is an issue with your membership. You should contact us immediately. National Race Director or Member Administration
Question: I see a racer with 2 or 3 series listed, what does this mean?
Answer: This racer is competing in more than 1 series. Each series they are competing in is listed with the first series showing the points for that series. If you continue to look for the same racer you will find points listed for each series they are competing in (if the series director has submitted race reports).
Question: I raced in a Official RMax Challenge Race in October 2008 but I do not see it included in the points for this year.
Answer: The qualifying period for the Grand Nationals starts following the previous years Grand Nationals and is determined by participation in Official RMax Challenge Series events. The National Points are figured on Calendar Year basis using the National Points system.
